I was a bit confused by the plural title when I began reading the book, however, part way through I suddenly realized what the author meant and realized that the title was spot on. I don't want to give any spoilers, so let me put it this way. For me, the book began rather slowly, but as it picked up momentum, it went in a few directions I was defintely not expecting. Brenda definitely paid attention to the little details as she crafted a unique story that speaks to the heart. All I can tell you is, pay attention to the details... I'm looking forward to her next book.
Runaways is a book you won't be able to put down. The writing style of Brenda Poulos will pull you in as if you're a main part of the story. You will be on the edge of your seat in anticipation of what's coming next. And I'd bet the emotions of the characters will be felt throughout and will touch your heart. Wow! Perhaps a top-rated movie in the future? A+!
I have never read a book like this before that made such an impact about forgiveness. Anyone who is carrying a load o f unforgiveness should read this! A wonderful book!
Great read.Some heart wrenching situations that make one ponder what he might do in the same situation. You might very well come away challenged in some of your own responses to life's difficult trials as I did.
Spellbinding story. Right when you think you have the villen identified, you are proven wrong. The story has many twists and turns throughout. Even at the very end you will be surprised. A good read. Enjoy
This was an intriguing book. A story with anger and hatred ending with forgiveness and love. The pages kept turning for me and I enjoyed this story.
This is a book that explains forgiveness in a strong way. There is a lot of pain in the story so sensitive hearts need to be aware of that. But definitely worth the read!
An edge-of-your-seat suspense. You can't help but love the little boy and his dog. And the ending leaves you in tears.
